The International Thespian Society is the only organization to honor secondary school students for outstanding work in theatre. El Dorado High School Thespian Troupe 42, chartered in 1936 and 71 years old, is one of the oldest troupes in the world. Thespian membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts which meet the Society’s guidelines. Specifically, students become members by earning points for their work. Any student who has participated in at least two productions for a total of 10 points of work is eligible for Thespian Society membership. Yearly local dues are $25.00 payable in September of each year. International dues are $30, payable one time only prior to induction in May.
