Two El Dorado High School juniors have been awarded honorable mention designations in the Association of Texas Photography Instructors’ Fall Photo Contest. Lex Jones and John Pugh were the only two students from Arkansas to place in the competition.
Jones received honorable mention in the Advanced Studio Portrait Division for his image submission titled “Cooper”.
Pugh was awarded an honorable mention in the Advanced Fine Art - Environmental Portrait Division for his image titled “No Shortcuts”.
Both photographers are Photo Lab students in the CTE Dept at EHS and are members of the EHS Photo Cats. Their images were chosen from over 6,300 entries. Entries came from Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas.
