EHS PARKING PASS INFORMATION

At the El Dorado School District, the safety of our students and staff is a top priority. To help ensure that only authorized, licensed drivers operate vehicles on campus, El Dorado High School will require all student drivers to obtain a campus parking pass for the 2025–2026 school year.

To legally drive and park on campus, students must:

  • Provide a valid driver’s license

  • Provide proof of current vehicle insurance

  • Pay a $5 annual parking pass fee

  • Display the current year’s parking tag on their vehicle

“Safety is always our top priority with minor drivers. By requiring students to submit proper documentation for a parking permit, we can help ensure the safety of other drivers as well as themselves.”
— Cpl. Latisha Heard, School Resource Officer

Parking passes can be obtained in the EHS front office beginning July 1st of each year.

Students must follow these guidelines to retain parking privileges:

  • Students must park only in designated student parking areas; parking in visitor spots, staff parking, fire lanes, or any undesignated areas is prohibited.

  • No loitering in the parking lot before or after school or during lunch

  • Do not return to your vehicle during school hours unless permitted with a pass from the office

  • Drive safely and responsibly at all times

Parking on school grounds is a privilege, not a right. That privilege may be revoked for violations of school policy.

Students who park on school property, acknowledge that:

  • Vehicles may be searched at any time by school or law enforcement personnel

  • There is no expectation of privacy in vehicles parked on campus

  • Students are responsible for any prohibited or illegal items found in their vehicles

Parking tag enforcement will be handled by school administration and the School Resource Officer (SRO). The following consequences will apply for noncompliance:

1st Violation:

  • Warning issued by admin or the School Resource Officer (SRO)

  • The student will be given 3 school days to provide documentation and obtain a parking tag

2nd Violation:

  • Parent/guardian contacted

  • The student will be prohibited from driving to school until a valid tag is obtained

3rd Violation:

  • A citation will be issued by the SRO

  • Parent(s) will be notified

  • The student will lose driving privileges for the remainder of the school year

Please note: The use of a previous year’s tag without renewal will result in confiscation of the tag until updated documentation is provided and the fee is paid.
