El Dorado High School, in partnership with the Artists in Education program, is proud to present the student art exhibition “Let’s Collaborate” at the South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC). The exhibition will be on display in SAAC’s Lobby Gallery from April 6 through April 18, offering the community an opportunity to experience the creativity and talent of EHS students.
The “Let’s Collaborate” exhibition highlights a diverse collection of student artwork, reflecting a wide range of styles, techniques, and perspectives. Through this showcase, students have had the opportunity to explore collaboration—working together, sharing ideas, and drawing inspiration from one another to create meaningful and innovative pieces. The exhibition highlights artwork developed under the guidance of EHS art teacher Katie Harwell, alongside AIE instructors Maria Botti Villegas, Jorge Villegas, and Lisa Burton Tarver, as well as collaborating with Yocum Elementary art educator Nicole McAdams. Projects include a senior mural completed over four years, incorporating pieces from Yocum Elementary.
The Artists in Education program plays a vital role in bringing professional artistic experiences into the classroom, encouraging students to expand their creative abilities and gain real-world exposure to the arts. This partnership has allowed EHS students to not only develop their skills but also to present their work in a professional gallery setting.
We are proud of our talented artists and teachers!
