Beginning with the Class of 2027, El Dorado High School students are required by state law to complete 75 hours of community service as part of their graduation requirements.
Community service allows students to make a positive impact while developing valuable skills, building connections, and giving back to the community that supports them. Hours may be earned through approved volunteer opportunities with schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, community events, and other service activities.
Students should keep accurate records of their service hours and have the required documentation completed and signed by the appropriate supervisor. Service hours may begin the day after the student completes 8th grade.
Students are encouraged to start early and look for meaningful ways to serve throughout their high school years.
If you are or your organization are in need of volunteers please fill out this google form so we can add it to our list of opportunities.
