PreAP Bio is at it again! This time, they are preparing a serial dilution of an acid and measuring the pH. These scholars can't get enough of Mrs. Parker's fun and engaging science labs!
Mrs. Moon's seniors had their initial meeting with the College and Career Coaches to backwards plan their future. April Malone, one of the EHS College and Career Coaches, created a central webpage for all of their senior year planning. They will meet several times throughout the year to allow students to monitor their progress toward success. What a wonderful experience for our seniors!
WILDCAT FAN OF THE WEEK
This week, we are honoring Tony Hooks! Just two and a half weeks after undergoing triple bypass surgery, Mr. Hooks made it to the top of the stadium to his regular seat near the press box to watch his son Cameron in the opening Wildcat game of the season last week. Mr. Hooks stayed the entire game.
Mr. Hooks attends football games every week unless he's working, then he listens on the radio. He loves his family and the Wildcats, but his dedication to supporting his son shines the most!

The El Dorado Golf Cats picked up wins in a four school match at El Dorado Country Club Tuesday.
El Dorado's Preston Howard carded a 79 to earn medalist honors for the match. Brendan Jones contributed an 84 and Saxon Morgan 90, Aaron Ezell 91 and John Hollis 96. El Dorado JV boys scores included a 92 from Brody McKinney, Landon Langston 95, Landen Rainwater 100, Trey Murphy 102, Clayton Sewell 116, Hayes Jackson 120 and Braden Major 131.
Aubrey Marx carded an 88 to claim medalist honors in the girls match. Hope Walthall added a 96, Lani Hammock 106, Jana Powell 116 and Sydney Marx 123. Ellis Parker and Brooke McCoy each carded 109 and Krystina Charles 117.
Way to go, Golf Cats!!!
El Dorado's Thursday match at Lakeside has been canceled. An alternative date has yet to be announced.

Wildcat Fan of the Week
In honor of the first home varsity football game tonight, we are honoring the Wildcat football coaching staff! These coaches work hard throughout the year, to cultivate a culture of mental, physical, and emotional growth in their student athletes. They value academics, athletics, and the arts. They are supportive and each work tirelessly to make El Dorado better.

Shout out to the Wildcat Tennis Team who won 7-1 over Benton yesterday! The girls swept Benton in their matches, and the boys won 3 of their 4 matches. Look out, the Tennis Cats are making ACES!

Both boys and girls golf teams finished 2nd place at the Relyance Bank Classic at Pine Bluff Country Club Thursday.
The girls were led by Aubrey Marx (88) and Hope Walthall (90). Alexa Hulsey finished at 107, Lani Hammock 109 and Sydney Marx 121.
Preston Howard was low man again for the boys team with 80, Brendan Jones 87, Aaron Ezell 89, Saxon Morgan 92 and John Hollis 96.
Pulaski Academy won the boys event by 9 shots over the Wildcats. Conference foe Sheridan edged the Lady Cat golfers by 4.
White Hall was the host school and the field included Lake Hamilton, Baptist Prep, Maumelle, Jacksonville and Sylvan Hills.
Mrs. Parker's Pre-AP Bio students tried splashing into the long weekend a little early today by investigating the properties of water.

We've got a big day of learning planned before the pep rally, football game, and long weekend!

El Dorado Schools keeps the safety of our students and staff as our top priority. While there has been no verification of any threats against our schools, we continue to work with local law enforcement to maintain safe campuses. The El Dorado School District has security measures in place and the El Dorado Police Department will provide an increased presence at each of our schools tomorrow to support a safe learning environment for all students.

El Dorado girls golf team finished runner up at the Bryant Invitational at Longhills.
Cabot won the event and North Little Rock finished 3rd. Mackenzie Lee won medalist honors with a 66 (-6). Aubrey Marx led EHS with an 84, Hope Walthall 95, Alexa Hulsey 96, Emma Gaul 106, Lani Hammock 110.
The boys managed a 6th place finish. Preston Howard was low man for El Dorado with 78, Jon Brooks Elia 84, Baylor Blackburn 86, Brendan Jones 89, Saxon Morgan 91, Aaron Ezell 94.
Way to go, Cats! The Golf Cats will be back in action this Thursday at the Reliance Bank Classic in Pine Bluff at 1pm. Their next home match is Tuesday, September 3rd at El Dorado Country Club. If you can swing it, go out and support the Golf Cats!

Monday brought some great conversation into the EAST classroom as SFC Easter, Sgt. Goodman, and Sgt. Brewer visited with students throughout the day. They discussed taking ownership of their learning goals, knowing what they want to accomplish now and after high school, and setting meaningful and challenging goals. What an awesome opportunity, Mrs. Bibby!

El Dorado School District has been made aware of a social media post circulating that mentions threats against unknown schools in Arkansas and Kentucky for the coming week. According to Lt. Chris Lutman, Public Information Officer for the El Dorado Police Department, the FBI office out of Little Rock has made a general awareness statement (not a warning) regarding the threats. No specific schools have been mentioned and there has been no verified threat by any law enforcement agency in the state, including El Dorado Police Department. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the information with local law enforcement and will do everything in our power to keep our schools safe.
