Several scholarship deadlines are THIS week. Make sure you complete the applications and SUBMIT before the deadline. Stop by the Guidance Office if you have questions or need assistance.

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS: If you are interested in representing EHS this summer at Girls' State or Boys' State, please stop by the Guidance Office and sign up.
Coach Simmons took five EHS basketball players to the AAO Top 25 Camp, an invitation only camp for top high school sophomore and junior prospects from Arkansas. EHS players Joe Ramey, BJ Johnson, Alex Boone, Brendan Simmons, and Jarmel Love were able to visit with former teammate, Daniel Gafford.

Eight students from EAST attended the three day EAST Conference in Hot Springs last week. Students attended sessions, networked with other EAST students across the state, and spent time discussing their projects with other programs. Lots of great ideas sparked, and EHS EAST can't wait to get to work!
Students who attended: Austin Scott, Jacobi Robinson, Jalisia Norman, Breana Adair, Scott Ratchford, Cesar Castro, Tayler Jackson, and Nakyea Jackson.

Last week, Ms. McKibben's AP Gov classes got to Skype with our 4th district Congressman Bruce Westerman. They talked about the traits required for public service, the "behind the scenes" atmosphere of Congress, and how to get involved in politics in your community.

Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Must be a graduating high school senior
Must be a dependent of a member of Lion Federal Credit Union

Centennial Bank to Offer 10 Annual $1,000 Scholarships

There is no limit on the number of eligible students a school can submit.
Centennial Bank, the “Titled Named Sponsors” for all regional and state championships, will provide a total of 10 annual $1,000 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors.
Centennial Bank’s scholarships will be provided for athletic achievement and community service. There are two categories for the scholarships,and five boys and girls winners will be selected.
Here are the scholastic requirements for the Centennial Bank scholarship:
1. Must have a 7-semester minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
2. Must have scored at least 21 on the ACT or at least 900 on the SAT.
Other requirements are:
1. Must be a senior student-athlete registered with the AAA
2. Must meet NCAA Scholarship rules
3. Must display good citizenship in school and in the community
4. Must display desirable leadership traits
5. Must have participated in other school activities

An informational, brainstorming meeting will be also be held after school today for interested students in Room 2412.

High School Musical is coming to EHS! Tickets will be on sale on all three lunch shifts starting Monday, March 12. Tickets are only $10 and all money will go towards making more art happen here at EHS! The show is April 12, 13, & 14 at 7 p.m! Get your tickets ASAP!
APHA Student Scholarship
The APHA Student Scholarship in the amount of $1000 is given annually.
Criteria:
Currently enrolled in the field of public health at an Arkansas school
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good standing
Required to sit on APHA board as a student representative
Not a previous scholarship recipient
Application Deadline:
April 15, 2018
Notification of Scholarship:
May 1, 2018
