ATTENTION EHS STUDENTS ON-SITE!
Two important things for tomorrow!
(1) There will be a device checkout THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, from 7am-8:30am in the EHS library! A guardian must be present to sign for the device. An insurance payment of $25 can be paid by cash (exact change) or check (make payable to El Dorado School District). Insurance is not required but highly recommended.
(2) There will be a limited number of football game tickets for Friday night's game sold during lunch shifts tomorrow. Tickets will be divided evenly between all four lunch shifts, so each shift will have an opportunity to purchase. Each student may purchase ONE ticket. The cost is $5--cash only/exact change. You must have a ticket to attend the game Friday!

All students interested in joining FBLA and DECA need to see any Business Teacher to find out how to join within the next TWO weeks. Dues are $15. Dues need to be paid and then fill out the google form.

If you have not picked up your Chromebook, please make plans to pick it up tomorrow.

The Wildcats will play a benefit game against North Little Rock tonight beginning at 7pm.
Due to COVID restrictions, the stadium is at limited capacity for seating and only 800 tickets are being sold to the El Dorado side.
Cheerleader and football parents can purchase TWO tickets from the Athletic Office before noon today.
The remaining tickets will be sold at the gate beginning at 6pm.
All El Dorado fans MUST sit on the home side. The visitor side will be left open for NLR fans.
There will be NO PASSES tonight as this is a benefit game.
Go Cats!

Attention all concurrent credit students!
SouthArk will be holding classes on their regular schedule tomorrow! Please be on time!

In case you missed it!
Device checkout that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
Stay safe, Wildcats!

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for our area. Hurricane Laura is expected to bring rain and high winds to El Dorado tomorrow. Out of caution, the El Dorado School District will not hold face-to-face classes tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2020. All classes will be virtual.
We are aware that some of our onsite students do not have a device at home. Any student who does not have access to a device or the internet will not be penalized and will have opportunities to complete their assignments.
Grab and Go breakfast will be available for pickup from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at Retta Brown Gifted and Talented Center for elementary and middle schools and at El Dorado High School for junior high and high school students.
Decisions about Friday will be announced tomorrow. We realize this is a late announcement and apologize for any inconvenience.

During the 2020-2021 school year, EHS will be utilizing a new bell schedule. The goal of this schedule is to help reduce the number of students on each lunch shift by adding a fourth shift. In addition, homeroom will move to 5th period. Lunch shifts may be adjusted in the first few days of school as we work through ensuring the safest feasible lunch shift for every student on campus.

Several AP Biology students have committed to 8 hours of “Biology Boot Camp” this summer, where they practice skills that weren’t taught last year due to COVID-19.
They used social distancing, and when they did activities together, they wore masks. These students chose to participate in hopes to learn skills that will help them be competitive in AP Bio next year.
Students attend two days for four hours each day. The first day was reviewing genetics and learning about natural selection. The second day focused on phylogeny and ecology.
They were given snacks and candy each day. They also got a free "5 Steps to a 5" study book, notebook, safety goggles, and calculator. Students will also get a t shirt at the beginning of school.
Thanks to Mrs. Parker and the science department for hosting this boot camp!
