Make plans to attend the volleyball game on October 8th for SENIOR NIGHT!


Biotechnology students demonstrated proper measuring techniques, "flaming loops" before transferring bacteria, and "streaking a plate" of bacteria this past week.

The EHS Library will be open to WOA students to return and check out books each Monday from 9-11. This will be a time for taking STAR and AR tests as well. WOA students will be required to read ONE AR book each 9 weeks. All WOA high school students are encouraged to take advantage of our library's resources when they can.

REMINDER: Varsity Basketball Tryouts 10-12th grade are TOMORROW, Wednesday, September 23rd from 2:15-3:30. You MUST have a physical to tryout. The sign sheet is on Coach DeSoto's door, room 2604.


All juniors and seniors are invited to register for the Virtual College Fair taking place October 1 -31. This is your chance to learn more about selecting a college, obtaining financial aid, and exploring college booths to get information. Live presentations are scheduled from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday – Thursday and from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturdays. College representatives will be standing by to chat with students during these times. More than 60 college booths have videos and important resources and are available anytime to registered students. Registering for the virtual fair takes less than 2 minutes and a video tutorial is available. All EHS juniors and seniors are encourage to participate!

Last Friday, AP United States History (APUSH) students had a Salem witch hunt. Students had to safely mingle in order to figure out what colonies their classmates were from and what religion they were pretending to be (Quaker or Puritan). By discussing their backgrounds, they had to guess who might be the potential witch hiding in the colonies.




The EHS Wildcat Chess team will hold an introductory meeting for all students interested in playing or competing in chess. The meeting will be held in Mr. Meyer's room at 7:30 Wednesday morning. All levels, from beginner to expert, are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there.

Are you registered to vote? Students who turn 18 by November 3rd can vote in the 2020 election. Voter Registration forms will be available during lunch in the cafeteria.


WILDCATS PLAY AT MAGNOLIA THIS FRIDAY
There are 500 tickets for El Dorado fans. No tickets will be sold early. Tickets will be available at the gate at Panther Stadium in Magnolia beginning at 6:00pm on Friday.

ALL tickets for this week's football game against Cabot will be pre-sale only. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Stop by the athletic office at the TAC House to purchase your ticket today or Friday.

Students who have not picked up a Chromebook may come tomorrow morning from 7am-8:30am in the EHS Library. A guardian must attend to sign out the device. An insurance payment of $25 is recommended but not required.
This will be the last Chromebook pick-up held at EHS.

Seniors: It is time to complete your El Dorado Promise Scholarship application. Applications are available from your English teacher or you can print one from the email you received on September 8.
