Biology I students in Ms.Lindquist's classes extracted DNA from their cheek cells and put it in a vial this week. Did you know you can see DNA when it’s clumped together? So cool! Some of the students made their DNA into necklaces and bracelets!

For the last several years, El Dorado High School Student Council and Key Club have partnered together to hold MISSter EHS as a fundraiser for the Circle of Friends Union County, a non-profit organization that supports Arkansas Children's Hospital.  Circle of Friends Union County lead Kerry Jackson and ACH liaison Emily Mitchell met with EHS students today to receive a donation check for $3,800 as part of the Kids Caring for Kids program. This donation was a total of $1,300 more than the students raised for ACH last year.  Chapters throughout the state work collectively to raise one million dollars each fiscal year, and they have exceeded that goal the last two years. "Funds donated through Circle of Friends go directly to ACH," Mrs. Jackson said.  According to the ACH website, there are over 700 active members statewide and twelve active chapters. We are very proud of our EHS students for their participation and our community for their support in doing our part to help Circle of Friends Union County and ACH reach their goal.
