Congrats to Cross Country! The Varsity boys brought home the team trophy. They were first out of ten teams represented. We had five boys place top ten out of about 100 runners. Hudson McDiarmid placed 5th, Jadon Cunningham was 6th, Brooks Coan was 8th, JD Halstead was 9th, and Jaland Upshaw was 10th. This is the varsity boys second year in a row to win this meet, and this is two weekends in a row that they came home with the first place trophy. The Varsity girls were lead by Melanie Miller with a 16th place finish and Alivia Zartuche was 16th. The Junior girls were lead by freshmen Alexa Dewey and Addy Taylor to a 3rd place finish out of over 10 teams. Alexa was 11th overall, and Addy was 13th. The Junior boys finished 5th out of 10. They were lead by 8th grader Austin Richard who placed 16th, 7th grader Nic Harvey at 22nd, and freshman Edwin Gonzalez at 30th.

#FanFriday #WildcatFanoftheWeek Meet Hunter Harrison! Daughter of 2004 EHS graduate Kelli (Prewett) Harrison, Hunter is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Maddie, and brother, Will, in supporting the Wildcats. Both Maddie (sister) and Will (brother) attend Hugh Goodwin. Go Cats!

Golf, Tennis, and Volleyball are all playing at HOME tonight, while 9th grade Football plays in Camden. Make your way out to support your favorite team!

Yesterday, the Leadership and Service Class participated in a campus clean up activity. Thanks, EHS scholars, for keeping our campus beautiful!

On Tuesday, the EHS Softball team used their workout time to remember 9/11. In what they called their "9/11 Hero" workout, Coach Samantha Schweickhardt said, "they pushed each other HARD, since they knew their struggle was nothing compared to the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women that day. When each finished, they made sure to stay outside to support the rest of the their team. Everyone finished in great time! Fastest time: 11 min 32 sec." In order to commemorate the 2997 people that died on 9/11, they did the following: 2 laps around the top of the basketball arena 9 push-ups 9 squats 7 sit-ups x 4 rounds! One of the best things about this workout, neither Coach S or the girls bragged about their work. A parent mentioned it, and we asked Coach S to share with us what they did. There are so many amazing things going on throughout EHS, and we are happy to share when we can! Can't wait to see ya'll on the field this spring, Softball Cats! Your spirit and determination is sure to light up the field!

The Wildcat Cross Country team had a successful second meet of the season. The varsity boys won the meet for the second year in a row! They were first place out of five full teams represented. There were 6 varsity boys that brought home individual awards for placing in the top 10. Jadon Cunningham placed 2nd, Hudson McDiarmid was 3rd, Brooks Coan was 6th, JD Halstead was 8th, Jaland Upshaw was 9th, and Hayden McDiarmid placed 10th. There were approximately 60 kids running. In the varsity girls race, Melanie Miller just missed out of getting an individual award by placing 11th. Alivia Zartuche was 13th. Addy Taylor once again lead the Junior Girls team with another top 10 finish. She placed 8th. The junior girls placed 3rd as a team.

SENIOR Homecoming shirts will be sold this week during lunch. They cost $20, and for an extra $5, students will get a neon fanny pack in true 80’s fashion.

Ms. Thomas and students from the Leadership and Service Learning class volunteered for UCAPS at the Outdoor Expo yesterday. Love all the opportunities EHS students have to develop life skills!
