EHS and ESD want to give a HUGE thank you to the MurphyUSA Finance Department for sponsoring a food drive for the El Dorado School District Backpack Program!
The MUSA Finance Department hosted a competition between the building floors to see who could bring the most items. The 2nd Floor won, bringing in 823 total items. They even received a handmade trophy!
The Backpack Program supports the students who are considered "food insecure," meaning there are times when they do not know when or where their next meal will be. There are around 80 students each year that benefit from this program, according to the program director Kim Thomas, EHS Counseling Department Coordinator. With over 909 individual items and 654 multipack items donated, the MurphyUSA Finance Department made a huge contribution toward supporting these students.
Thank you to the Finance Advisory Team, Trey Mitchell, Pam Cook, Kristin Loggins, Brent Little, Amy Wright, Tammy Taylor, and Cole Sturdivant, for supporting ESD schools and our local community. We are SO GRATEFUL for your contribution!
