Today, April 30th: EAST Night Out Student Showcase, 5-6:30pm in the EHS Commons
Tomorrow, May 1st: CTE Excellence Awards, 6pm in the EHS Commons
Monday, May 7th: Spring Orchestra Concert, 6:30pm in the EHS Auditorium
Monday, May 14th: Graduation, 8pm at Memorial Stadium
EHS Principal Alva Reibe, Student Council President Evan Chandler, and Key Club President Noah Gaul presented a check for $2500 to Kerry Jackson, State Board Representative of Union County Circle of Friends for Arkansas Children's today.
Student Council and Key Club teamed up to organize and produce MISSter EHS, a parody on a traditional pageant, in February. They then donated the proceeds to Arkansas Children's to benefit Arkansas families.
Thank you to Mr. Sanders and Mr. Bauldree for supporting the students in their endeavor to raise money for a very important charity in our state.

Tryouts for Tennis will be held May 7- May 9 starting at 4:00 at the RPG Clubhouse 1400 Glenwood Dr. You must sign up in order to tryout. Sign up sheet is on Coach Thomas' door 1537 or sign up by sending an email to sthomas@esd-15.org. If you do not pre-register, you will not be eligible to play.
Check out the EHS Orchestra at their spring concert: Spring Strings on Monday, May 7th at 6:30pm in the EHS Auditorium! Listen to some great music AND get desserts/punch afterward...you won't want to miss this!
The CTE Department is hosting it's first CTE Excellence Awards night next Tuesday, May 1st. Seniors who have completed a course of study in the CTE department will be honored, as well as students grades 9-12 who have been selected by CTE teachers. All community members are welcome to attend! Please RSVP!

The EHS Band students performed last week in their annual solo/ensemble contest. Students performed individually and/or in small ensembles for judges (University professors and retired band directors). Students received ratings based on their performance; the highest rating Superior, the second highest Excellent. Of the students that were present, 49 students earned Superior and 8 students earned Excellent. Judges are asked to hold the students to a very high standard, and all students that were present received Superior and Excellent ratings. What an accomplishment! Way to go, Band Cats!
EAST students will host their annual EAST Night Out next Monday, April 30th in the EHS Commons from 5-6:30pm. Come see what EAST students have been doing this year. Everyone is welcome!

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY UPDATE:
Sophomores that paid their dues and got their forms turned in: remember that the induction ceremony is Tuesday, April 24th at 6:30 in the auditorium. If you aren't able to attend, please tell Mrs. Mobbs ahead of time.
Remember that service hours are due by April 30th. They must be submitted as a paper copy and digitally. If you need the link to submit digitally, come by Mrs. Mobbs's room and scan the QR code on her door!

Two EHS seniors, Zane Hansen and Scott Daniel,
placed in the top three in the SkillUSA competition last week. Both students take con-current classes at South Arkansas Community College. Zane Hansen, 2nd year welding student, placed 1st in the College General Welding division; Scott Daniel, 1st year welding student, placed 2nd in the High School General Welding division. Zane qualified to compete at the National SkillsUSA Competition in Louisville, Kentucky this summer.
Congrats to these students and their instructors: James Dubose and Garrett Trussell.
