Mr. Foster's Anatomy and Physiology classes dissected fetal pigs on Monday. Students broke into groups and examined the internal anatomy of the pigs in order to compare those systems to humans. Although some students were queasy with the process, many students enjoyed getting to take a closer look at the respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems.
Upon entering Mr. Foster's room, one could feel the excitement mixed with the smell of formalin. Students were thoroughly engaged in their dissections and learning. Mr. Foster was all over the room, jumping from group to group, guiding them through the process. At one point, a comment he made sparked a great quote from Regan Pill: "You know you're an anatomy teacher when you say, 'That's a beautiful brain.'"
Thanks, Mr. Foster, for making a hard subject fun and interesting!
