Sophomores that paid their dues and got their forms turned in: remember that the induction ceremony is Tuesday, April 24th at 6:30 in the auditorium. If you aren't able to attend, please tell Mrs. Mobbs ahead of time.
Remember that service hours are due by April 30th. They must be submitted as a paper copy and digitally. If you need the link to submit digitally, come by Mrs. Mobbs's room and scan the QR code on her door!

Two EHS seniors, Zane Hansen and Scott Daniel,
placed in the top three in the SkillUSA competition last week. Both students take con-current classes at South Arkansas Community College. Zane Hansen, 2nd year welding student, placed 1st in the College General Welding division; Scott Daniel, 1st year welding student, placed 2nd in the High School General Welding division. Zane qualified to compete at the National SkillsUSA Competition in Louisville, Kentucky this summer.
Congrats to these students and their instructors: James Dubose and Garrett Trussell.

ACT RESCHEDULE INFORMATION
If you were scheduled to take the ACT on Saturday, April 14th, please read the following memo with reschedule information!
CLASS OF 2018: Don't forget the Academic Signing is TOMORROW, 1:30pm in the Wildcat Arena!
Seniors need to eat 1st lunch and report to the auditorium with their purple graduation gown.
All juniors will report to the arena and sit in the designated area after 3rd lunch is over. Do not go to your 6th period class. Go directly to the arena.
Any freshmen and sophomores who have been invited to attend or have a senior sibling must be checked out through the office and walked around to the arena entrance used during basketball games. You may not enter through the JROTC/Freshmen Academy halls.
The Class of 2018 Honors' Night will take place TONIGHT at 6pm in the Wildcat Arena.
There were 99 students scheduled to take the ACT this past Saturday at SouthArk. Due to a fire that took place in the Administration building (immediately next to the building the ACT would have been administered in) and the long efforts to control/put out this fire, SouthArk had to cancel the ACT that morning. SouthArk was one of two sites that had to cancel this administration for one reason or another. This test will be rescheduled, but it will take some coordination with the ACT Test Supervisor, SouthArk, and ACT. Once that coordination takes place and a date finalized, ACT will send those students something in mail or email. If that test date does not work, students will not be refunded, but will need to call a special number provided by ACT to reschedule to the June or July test date at no charge. Students should NOT use the online tool to reschedule to June or July as this will result in a reschedule fee.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, sixteen members of the EHS FBLA attended the state conference, competing in thirteen different categories. The students had to qualify to compete by placing 1st-6th at the district competition. While students didn't place at state, they all did an excellent job and were able to attend some great workshops. Way to work hard, FBLA! Students who attended: Connie Barrette, Kali Bronson, Christin English, Ryleigh Flen, Kendra Frazier, Sharon Hayden, Lauren May, Ahjaley Miller, Kaliyah Rivera, Venalee Sloan, Jourdyn Smith, Zoveaire Thomas, Rahiem Cain, Eric Gonzalez, Addison Martin, and Jacob Phillips. Two freshmen who competed but couldn't attend were Cameron Kuhlmann and Alaina Nolden. Thanks to Mrs. Owen and Mrs. Phillips for taking students!

Our fearless leader, EHS Principal Alva Reibe, spent the afternoon recruiting teachers for our wonderful district.
